We are not going to be staying at a Disney resort, do we receive magic bands/cards when we purchase the memory maker or do those need to be purchased separately? If you purchase the memory maker but not the magic bands, how are your pictures linked?

    Hi Kate!

You can purchase MagicBands if you would like to use them for your Walt Disney World vacation, but they aren't necessary for taking PhotoPass photos and Memory Maker.  You will be given a plastic PhotoPass card, credit card size, from your first photographer.  You will give this card to all of the photographers you plan on taking photos with during your vacation.  The back of the card will have a unique number on it that you can link to your PhotoPass account.  I highly suggest taking a picture of the back of your PhotoPass card just in case you lose it.  You'll still have the code on the back to be able to link.  If you lose your card or if your family separates during the day, you can obtain another card from any PhotoPass photographer.  There is no limit to how many cards you can link to your account.

    Have a magical day!
