I am not staying in a Disney resort, but would still like to purchase a magicband to use for my park admission and FastPass+. Will I be able to use my MagicBand even though I am not a Disney Resort guest? If yes, how do I link them to my account?

    Hi Jarrett!

You can absolutely benefit from using a MagicBand while not staying as a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel!  We take lots of day trips since we live close to the magic and always wear our MagicBands to the parks when we aren't visiting with an overnight stay.  MagicBands add to the convenience of using park tickets as well as entering the FastPass+ attraction queues since everything you need is right on your wrist.  There are so many colors, themes and characters to choose from and can be purchased in advance from the Shop Disney Parks mobile app or Shop Disney online, but can certainly be purchased when you arrive at most gift shops located around Walt Disney World.

Linking a new MagicBand to your My Disney Experience account is super simple.  Head to the Walt Disney World website to link your new souvenir MagicBand.  Enter the MagicBand ID number, found on the back side of the band and assign it to a guest in your My Disney Experience Family & Friends list and you're done!  You can also follow similar steps on the My Disney Experience mobile app or have a Cast Member in store help you link it.  Easy peasy!

Now, which MagicBand design will you choose?

    Have a magical day!
