    If you are NOT staying at a Disney resort, can you still buy and link your park tickets to a Magicband?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Diane ~

    That is a great question and I'm glad you found us to help!

    Guests who are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort can absolutely buy MagicBands and link your theme park tickets to them. We often stay off property with local family and use our MagicBands on every trip. If you purchase MagicBands at any of the merchandise locations at the Walt Disney World Resort, order them online at shopDisney or on the Shop Disney Parks app, you can link them online to your My Disney Experience or by using the My Disney Experience mobile app.

    To link your MagicBand with the My Disney Experience mobile app:
    * Open the app.
    * Select your personal avatar located in the lower center of the home screen.
    * Select "My Account".
    * Select "MagicBands & Cards".
    * Select "Link a MagicBand or Card" (shown toward the bottom in blue).
    * Then type in the ID code on the MagicBand (the 12-digit ID Number is located in the inside of the MagicBand behind the Mickey symbol).

    In order to use MagicBands to enter the theme parks, valid theme park tickets must also be linked to your My Disney Experience.

    Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR for you!

    Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
