Hiya Kimberly!
We're so glad to see you back - I was excited to see your question because I recently did exactly what you're asking about!
Water transportation is available from the
Disney Springs Marketplace Dock, located between Disney Springs and
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, with service to Saratoga Springs, Disney's Port Orleans
French Quarter and
Riverside Resorts, and to
Disney's Old Key West Resort. This is a great way to hop over and experience these unique properties. At Port Orleans Riverside, you'll step back in time to rural Louisiana, while French Quarter will transport you to the classic jazzy streets of New Orleans.
You mentioned dining, and let me tell you, the food at both of the Port Orleans resorts is unique and phenomenal! I recently had dinner at
Boatwright's Dining Hall for the first time, leaving both stuffed and satisfied. In addition to classic low country dishes, they also offer an All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Chef's Platter, and I sure did care to eat a lot! After dinner, we walked to French Quarter and enjoyed some delicious Mickey Beignets at the
Scat Cat's Club - Cafe. You can jazz up the already delicious beignets with your choice of Kahlua, Bailey’s, or RumChata, but don't forget to try the regular delicious dipping sauces as well!
If you are driving, you will be permitted to park at Port Orleans if you have a confirmed dining reservation there. If parking at Disney Springs, the Lime Garage is the closest parking location to the Marketplace docks so you can catch a boat. Do keep in mind that boat service is subject to availability and schedules are sometimes impacted by the weather. If the boats aren't running, you can easily catch a bus from Disney Springs to either Port Orleans resort!
I hope you're having a great trip -
let us know when other planning questions come up!
Ryan J.
