I am not staying on the Disney property, but made reservations at California Grill. I am assuming/hoping that I do not have to pay a park entrance fee to go to dinner here. Where is the best place to park? and how much would that cost? thanks!

Hi Traci! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Dining at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort was one of my absolute favorite experiences! I absolutely love the view and the food and service more than exceeded my expectations. Depending on what time your reservation is for, if the Wishes nighttime spectacular is showing, they will dim the lights and pipe in the music making this an even more magical experience.  One of the other great things is that if you would like to hang around to watch Wishes after you are finished or even before your dinner begins, guests are invited to watch the show from the lounge area inside California Grill or up on the outside observation deck. If the fireworks show is after you have already completed your dinner, simply bring your receipt to the check-in desk on the 2nd floor for reentry to California Grill.

Whenever you have a dining reservation at one of the Resort hotels, parking at that Resort is complimentary for your dining time. You will pull up to a security booth before entering Disney’s Contemporary Resort parking lot and just let them know that you have a reservation and they will check to verify before letting you park. Once you are through park your car at any open spot and head inside to the Resort hotel. You will check in for your reservation at the check-in desk located on the 2nd floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

I hope that your dining experience is just as magical as mine was!
