We are not staying on Disney Property, but my kids would love to have some beach time while at Disney. Are the use of the beaches at the resort available to non-Disney guests. If so, which one would you recommend and where do you park at. Thanks.

Hi there Rachel! We're beach lovers here in my family too so, I understand completely how important this question is for you!

You're more than welcome to visit any of the Disney resort hotels during your trip to Walt Disney World, even if you are staying off site! Simply explain to the security guard at the front entrance that you would like to explore the resort and perhaps take in some shopping and dining. After presenting a photo ID, you'll be issued a temporary parking pass to display on your windshield that will provide you with plenty of time for sightseeing.

My favorite tropically themed Disney resort is the Polynesian! The white sand beaches are gorgeous and the view of Cinderella Castle swinging from a hammock along the palm tree lined shores of Seven Seas Lagoon is truly breathtaking. Just be sure to keep in mind that swimming or wading into any of the onsite lakes is prohibited.

Be sure to stop by Captain Cook's inside the Polynesian for a delightful pineapple ice cream creation called a dole whip! They are amazing! Also, you might want to consider timing your trip to the "Poly" to coincide with the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular!

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions my way in the days leading up to your trip!
