Not staying on Disney property. Can I add a Dining Plan?

    Hi Tracey,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sending us your question.  My family has stayed of property a few times in the past and we loved being able to enjoy the Theme Parks as our own pace.

The Disney Dining Plan is available to guests who have purchased a Magic Your Way Package which includes a Resort Hotel Room and Tickets.  Guests with a package are able to add on one of the Disney Dining Plans, but unfortunately the Plans are not available to guests staying off property.  When my family and I choose not to use the Disney Dining Plan, what I like to do is purchase a Disney Gift Card for roughly the amount that I have calculated that I will be spending on Dining while at Walt Disney World Resort.  This is useful for me to track my purchases and it makes me feel like I have paid in advance for the majority of my meals and snacks.  I also will pack some snacks and water in my bag so that I can have some quick options if I am in a pinch.

I hope that helps, Tracey.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always here to assist with your planning.
