    If you do not stay in a disney hotel or resort can you still use magic bands like if you were staying in a hotel or resort? Entry, purchases, etc?

    Thank you for stopping by today with a great question about MagicBands! We are thrilled to assist you as you plan a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

    I am a big fan of MagicBands, and I cannot imagine visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth without this pixie-dusted all-in-one device! All visitors are welcome to use a MagicBand during their visit to enter the theme parks and water parks (with valid admission) and connect Disney PhotoPass digital content to your My Disney Experience account. However, only Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can charge food and merchandise purchases to their room account during their stay.

    You can purchase a MagicBand online at shopDisney.com before your visit, or you can buy one at several retail locations at the Walt Disney World Resort upon arrival. I recommend stopping by World of Disney and Disney’s Pin Traders at Disney Springs to check available options. In addition to a MagicBand, you are also welcome to use Disney MagicMobile service or a regular ticket card. Ticket cards can be retrieved at will-call windows at the entrance of all four parks, at Guest Relations locations, and the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.
