Welcome Aboard, Leslie!
I'm thrilled to hear you're planning your first Disney Cruise Line vacation - you've chosen the best! Get ready for the vacation you've always dreamed of. You'll be treated like a VIP from the moment you set foot on the ship, and the excellent personalized service continues throughout your sailing. I know you're counting the days until your magical vacation!
Dining rotations for 2015 itineraries aren't available yet, but we can look at this year's Bahamian cruises to get an idea of what your schedule will look like. On a 4-night Bahamian cruise on the
Disney Dream, you can expect three "cruise casual" nights, which calls for no swim attire, no flip flops, no tank tops, and no casual shorts. Collared shirts, blouses, cotton pants, sundresses and jeans will be the norm for these evenings.
You'll also have one "Dress-Up" evening, typically on night two. Men will be in button-down shirts and slacks, some with jackets, ties optional. Ladies will want to bring dresses or nice pantsuits. We always like to visit the shipboard photographers on Dress-Up Night for some formal photos! Photographers will be available in the Atrium Lobby before your evening meal to capture those special memories.
Arrrgh, Matey!
Pirate Night is typically on the third night of your cruise, so make sure to pack your pirate gear! You'll see guests decked out in all levels of pirate finery, from simple bandanas and eye patches to full-out Captain Jack Sparrow costumes. You can find lots of pirate accessories in the onboard shops to complete your scurvy scallywag look!
Hope this information is helpful! It's a little too early to pack your bags, but at least now you'll be prepared when the time comes. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
