Hi there, Duane!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for stopping by with your vacation planning question. I see you'll be arriving at
The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few short months - you must be getting excited! Since you're not within your
60-day Dining Reservation booking window yet, I have to assume you are having difficulty making
theme park reservations. A couple of ideas come to mind, so let's see if we can find a solution together!
You mentioned that you were able to successfully make theme park reservations for all days except your first. Is it possible that when you purchased your theme park tickets, you selected your "day of first use" as the day after your intended first visit? To check your valid theme park ticket dates, go to
My Plans in My Disney Experience. Scroll down a bit and select the Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker under My Plans, Reservations and Tickets. Under "Tickets", you should see your theme park ticket. Make sure that the dates listed as valid are indeed the dates you want to visit the theme parks. If the dates are incorrect, you should see an option to "Change Ticket". You're also welcome to reach out to the
Existing Tickets phone line for further assistance.
Another issue you may be running into is theme park availability. In other words, the theme park you're hoping to visit on your first day may not have availability remaining. Are you able to make theme park reservations for other theme parks on that day? If so, then availability is likely unavailable for your park of choice. You can check
Theme Park Reservation Availability to confirm. Please note, you'll have to filter results by Guest type to view appropriate availability: Theme Park Tickets, Select Resort Hotels (for Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel), or Annual Passes. If your date and theme park of choice appear as available, and your selected date is included in your theme park ticket valid dates, then I encourage you to call the Existing Tickets phone line for additional help.
Duane, I hope this information is helpful to you and I thank you for dropping by planDisney with your question. If you have any follow-up questions (or if I missed the mark on guessing theme park reservations were the issue here), please feel free to
reach out to me directly for more help. I hope your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is truly magical!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
