    I am not a runner. I am encouraging my 8 year old son to partake in the kids race in feb 2016 and he is excited to do so. Is the 400m and 1mile race the same day? Wondering if i can sign him up for both? What time of day do the kids races start usually.

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Laura! 

    I'm happy you are encouraging your son to participate in the runDisney Kids' Races during the 2016 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend in February. Your little prince will be so excited to earn his very own medallion - be sure to let him wear it around the theme parks, Cast Members love recognizing the youngest of runners. 

    He could absolutely participate in both! For this race weekend, you have the option of selecting Friday or Saturday when registering your son. He could run both races on the same day, or break it up and do a race each day.  Just remember you will need to complete two separate registrations and the Kids' Races sellout fast, so pick his top race choice first and then go back in and complete a second registration for the additional race. 

    The runDisney website has not yet been updated to reflect the times of the Kids' Races for next year, but it should update soon with registration being right around the corner. Generally, they begin around 10:00am.
