Hello Melyssa,
Thank you so much for reaching out to planDisney! As a Floridian and a parent, I’m happy to help with your question about purchasing a Florida Resident annual pass for the child travelling with you to the
Walt Disney World Resort! To purchase the Florida Resident Annual Pass, an adult who is a Florida resident must present a valid Florida ID, unless the child is a teenager with a valid Florida driver's license or Florida ID. The adult will provide their Florida documents for the verification of residence, which isn’t needed for the child. You can find a list of acceptable documents by visiting this page:
Proof of Florida Residency Information.
A great option could be for the child's parent to purchase the
pass online. This way, they can easily verify their Florida residency during the purchase process. You can also consider purchasing a
Disney Gift Card for the child, equivalent to the cost of the annual pass, and give it to the parent. This would make it even easier for them to buy the Florida Resident annual pass.
If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. I hope this helps, and I wish you and the child a wonderful time at the parks!
Best regards,
~Yael
