We will not have a rental car. What would be some recommended modes of transportation for a family of five when traveling from a Disney World resort to Disney's Vero Beach?

    Hi Angela! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm excited you have decided to incorporate a different element into your Walt Disney World Resort stay! Disney's Vero Beach Resort is a hidden gem along the coast of Florida that many Disney Guests do not even realize is there. Imagine staying at a resort directly on the beach but having the same level of service that you expect from a Walt Disney World Resort! That's exactly what you are going to get here. And you're doing it in the perfect order! Sometimes I joke about needing a vacation when returning from Walt Disney World because of how busy the trip can be. Disney's Vero Beach allows for just that!

Unfortunately, Disney does not provide transportation to or from Disney's Vero Beach Resort. You'll need to consider other options to get you there. Mears Connect, which is the new bus transportation that Guests can take from the Orlando airport to their resort, also provides car services that you can schedule to get you there. I suggest checking out their website and getting a quote for this service. You can also perform a Google search for car transportation in the central Florida area. This will yield a bunch of results to provide you with options that you can decide will work best.

Angela, I know you will not have a rental car while at Walt Disney World, but have you considered renting one for this leg of the trip? Depending on how long your stay at Disney's Vero Beach is, it might be more affordable to rent a car. You'll need to factor in transportation to Vero Beach and then back to the airport after. You'll also need to account for any transportation while at Vero Beach, in case you want to try out some surrounding restaurants while you are there. Having a rental car may end up being the best option. I've been told by my fellow planDisney panelists that visited Vero Beach this year, that having a car while on site was very helpful. Dining options may be limited at the resort, so having the ability to get in a car to drive to nearby restaurants was a bonus.

I hope you have a fantastic trip, Angela!

    See ya real soon!
