Hi Rebecca,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you will soon be ready to sail away on a Disney cruise.
There are lots of things you must bring from home for a Disney Cruise Line vacation: your passport, your swimsuit, your appetite for food and fun, and your sense of adventure. Arrive without luggage tags? No problem.
Mine were once accidentally mailed to a former address and never found their way to me. A friend forgets to bring hers about half the time. If you don't have your preprinted tags, the porters at the cruise terminal will graciously hand-write your name and cabin number on blank tags for you. (My forgetful friend always tips a little extra for the inconvenience).
A reminder: Once you drop your bags with Luggage Services, you won't have access to them again for a few hours. So, it's important to
pack a tote bag with your passports, money and credit cards, medications, any medical equipment (such as a CPAP machine), and items you will need during the afternoon before sail-away. I try to keep that carryon as light as possible so that I'm not weighed down while as I explore the ship.
Before you leave home, you will want to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, the hub for information and for managing your reservations, activities, entertainment and more. Plus, there's a fun countdown to your cruise departure.
Happy sailing, Rebecca!
Wilma
