Hiya JoAnne,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm always happy to welcome a fellow Texan to our little corner of planning fun. I'm sure your heart beat faster when you learned about
Disney Park Pass Reservations, but no worries; I can help you arrange everything for your upcoming visit in a few weeks.
To enter the Theme Parks, all Guests must have valid tickets and a Disney Park Pass Reservation for each day of the plan to visit the Theme Parks. If you have a ticket with a Park Hopper option, the reservation only needs to be for the first park you plan to start your day at, not the additional park you plan to hop to. Before making a Disney Park Pass reservation, ensure that your Theme Park tickets are
linked to your My Disney Experience account. Next, ensure that everyone in your family is added to your
Family and Friends list. This will ensure you can make reservations for your entire group simultaneously. From there, you can proceed with making your reservations.
To reserve your Park Pass reservations:
- Visit the
Disney Park Pass availability calendar for current pass availability for the dates of your trip. As of 11:45 PM ET (when I'm writing this question), the calendar for your dates is showing "green." When you see "green," all four Theme Parks are available for that date (which is perfect for your trip). No, because Disney Park Pass reservations are first come-first served and limited in availability; this is subject to change. If you happen to see "yellow" on one of your dates when you go to make your Disney Park Pass reservations, only some of the Theme Parks are available for that day. I know this would be disappointing, but that means that even if you have to shift your planned itinerary and visit a different Theme Park, you can still make a reservation and visit one of the Theme Parks. If you see "grey," there is no availability for any of the Theme Parks at this time. This can occur in the summer and during peak times, so it is essential to make reservations as soon as possible. That said, availability is constantly changing, so keep checking back if you can't find a reservation for the park you want to visit.
- Finally you can
make your Disney Park Pass Reservations. Select the Theme Park from the available options and confirm your selection for you and your entire family.
I hope this is helpful, JoAnne! If there is anything else we can help you with as you get closer to your visit, please come back and see us. Hopefully, this is the last hurdle before an incredible vacation.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
