Hi Jami! Welcome back to planDisney!
Let the countdown begin! You are less than a month away until you arrive for an unforgettable
Walt Disney World vacation! With so many new experiences arriving at the parks this summer, you'll have plenty to check out during your upcoming stay!
Jami, I just took a look at the
Hours & Events Calendar at the Magic Kingdom for the first few weeks of September, and it seems like there are multiple parades each day (weather depending). The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is scheduled daily for the early afternoon, while
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is scheduled for two showings each night that
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is not taking place. On party nights, the Magic Kingdom will close at 6 PM to regular park Guests in order for the Halloween party to begin at 7 PM. Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade will occur on party nights, although you will need a
special event ticket in order to attend.
If you want to ensure that you can catch Disney Starlight, make sure to plan your visits to the Magic Kingdom on days that the Halloween Party is not occurring. This parade debuted just a couple of weeks ago, and according to a few fellow planDisney panelists, it completely dazzles under the night sky. One showtime is scheduled before the nighttime fireworks display, while the second is scheduled for after. You'll have a few options on how to plan your Magic Kingdom night.
In addition to the new parade, there are a couple of new shows that recently debuted at Disney's Hollywood Studios. One in particular is
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, which is now open and welcoming Guests throughout each day. If you are a fan of some of the mischievous characters in some of your favorite Disney movies, then you are going to want to check out this show!
I hope this information helps you plan for your stay, Jami!
