Welcome back to planDisney, Christine! We’re happy you’re hEAR with another planning question.
Christine, sometimes my family’s Disney vacation is filled to the brim with photos and other times we’re too busy snacking or hopping on and off our favorite attractions to snap pictures, so I understand your hesitation.
First, I’m happy to share that you ARE welcome to purchase Memory Maker after your vacation begins (or even when it is over). Please keep in mind that
Disney Photopass photos will expire 45 days from the date that they are taken, so you would need to purchase Memory Maker before that expiration date to ensure you have all the photos.
Many guests
purchase Memory Maker in advance because there is a discounted price when purchasing at least 3 days prior to the start of your vacation. However, in your case, if you’re on the fence, the initial savings may be less appealing if you’re unsure that the package is right for this trip.
With this option you also need to wait 3 days to activate your pictures, so this is NOT a good option if you are 1- or 2- days out from check-in. In that case, I recommend waiting until after your first
Disney Photopass photo to purchase without the discount (
otherwise you won’t have access to all of your pictures). You also have the option to purchase
Memory Maker One Day, which is exactly how it sounds! Instead of buying pictures from your entire vacation or individual select photos, you’ll be able to download all pictures taken on that day.
Christine, I hope this helps as you’re deciding how best to remember the Magical moments from your upcoming trip. Please come on back to planDisney with any additional questions. Like the popular Minnie Mouse headbands, we are all EARS.
