If we are not looking to dine, where is a good location for viewing Illuminations at Epcot? Where are good parade viewing locations at MK and DS too? Thanks for your time.

    Hi Kathleen,

Just about any place close to the railing surrounding World Showcase Lagoon would provide you with an excellent view of Illuminations. Be sure, however, to look up from your vantage point to make sure that your view of the sky is not blocked by tree branches.  Once you pick out a desirable location, plan to nestle into that spot 20-30 minutes before the show begins.  If you hope to make a quick departure after Illuminations, try to find a spot close to the Mexico or Canada pavilions as they are closest to the front of Epcot.

You can't beat the central hub in front of Cinderella Castle for parade viewing in the Magic Kingdom.  It will be crowded there, but the views are super.  If you're looking for a more secluded viewing area, find a spot along the parade route in Liberty Square or Frontierland.  My family has enjoyed viewing the parades from the storefronts in Frontierland on several occasions.

Finally, head to Hollywood Boulevard for great views of the parades in Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Again, it makes sense to arrive 20-30 minutes before the parade begins in order to find a prime spot.

Wishing you an amazing vacation to Walt Disney World!
