I can not link my Visa card for payment because the link will not accept a Canadian alpha numeric zip code. Is there a work-around.

    Hiya, Alice!

This is a great topic. Making purchases in the Disneyland mobile app makes visits to the Disneyland Resort much easier for us. We use the app to place mobile food and beverage orders, buy souvenirs with Merchandise Mobile Checkout, and purchase individual Lightning Lane return times. While it is possible to enter payment information with each transaction, it is very convenient to have the payment card stored with my Disney account. It can make the purchase process much quicker.

I asked my planDisney pal Jacqueline P. about her experiences with linking payment cards to her Disney account. She confirmed that both she and her spouse have been able to link their payment cards to their Disney accounts, even with their Ontario postal code that includes both letters and numbers. So I’m glad to hear it can be done! Now, here are some tips that I hope will help you to successfully link your payment method to your account too.

    • When adding a new payment card using the Payment Methods web page, select Canada from the Country drop-down menu under the Billing Address section. That will change the “ZIP Code” field to a “Postal Code” field. The “State” field will also become a “Province” field.
    • I recommend making sure the address used for your Disney account profile settings matches the address used on your payment card account statements. And, of course, that should match the address that you input when adding a new card.
    • Even after changing the Billing Address country to Canada, the form still uses the term “Security Code” instead of the more common Card Verification Value, Card Verification Code, or CV Number term that you might be more accustomed to. That’s where you will input the three- or four-digit CV Number found on the back of your card.
    • I recently had difficulty linking a payment card with my Disney account because I wasn’t using the expiration date of the most recent card that the bank had shipped to me. So I recommend double-checking that details such as payment card number, expiration date, and billing address are current and accurate.
    • If the device you are using is forcing your keyboard to a numeric-only setting, you might try using a different device or a different web browser. I also recommend trying either in a web browser or in the Disneyland mobile app. To get to the right place in the mobile app, tap the “My Profile” link from the ☰ feature menu screen.
    • You may also choose to stop by one of the several Guest Relations locations in the theme parks. A friendly Cast Member there may be able to guide you toward an appropriate workaround for this situation.

I hope that helps, Alice. And I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort!
