Welcome back to planDisney, friend! I am so excited to hear that you are looking to add
Disney Genie+ to your existing theme park tickets. This service will give you and our travel party access to
Lightning Lane entrances for a variety of attractions and experiences. This means less time waiting in line, and more time having the best trip ever. You will also have access to hilariously fun and exclusive PhotoPass lenses and magical audio tales full of fascinating behind-the-scenes facts.
You can add Genie+ to Walt Disney World vacation packages and existing tickets through June 7th. Adding the service to an existing vacation package can be done through
My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World website. Select the
My Plans option from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu on the top right of the screen. This page will show all of your upcoming travel details and includes a
Change Reservation link. The next screen will show all available changes that can be made, including an option to change your tickets. Click this option to add the Genie+ option to your tickets on the next page. If you have theme park tickets that are not part of a package, you can
modify them through the website or the My Disney Experience app. Choose the Tickets & Memory Maker option, and select the ticket(s) you wish to modify. Select the option to add Genie+ and you will be all set! Please note that you will not be able to start using the service and its features until 7 AM ET on the days of your park visits.
After June 7th, Genie+ can still be purchased for existing tickets through the
My Disney Experience app on the day of your park visits. You will be able to add the service each day just as Cinderella is leaving the ball..just after midnight. Genie+ can be added to your day by taping the three bars at the bottom of the screen and selecting the My Genie Day tile. Click the purple banner that says Get Disney Genie+ for today to add the service in a matter of moments.
I want to mention that if you booked your upcoming plans through a travel agency or professional, you will not be able to add the service through your My Disney Experience account. They will need to add the service on your behalf. If for any reason you are still unable to add the service, and you booked your magical stay independently, you may need to reach out to a friendly Cast Member with
Existing Tickets to add the service.
