Ahoy Brittany!
Welcome to planDisney! We love having newcomers like yourself because it means more people are finding out about Disney Cruise Line. I’m so sorry that you are having some trouble making a reservation for your family. I’d love to help you make that Disney cruise a reality.
First off, technical difficulties in making a stateroom reservation may mean the right size stateroom may not be available. Some staterooms simply cannot hold 5 Guests; they may only be able to sleep 3 or 4 maximum. Disney Cruise Line has a list of how many Guests each stateroom category will accommodate, depending on what Disney ship you will be sailing: the
Disney Magic,
Disney Wonder,
Disney Dream,
Disney Fantasy or
Disney Wish. So click on the relevant link to make sure you are choosing a category that has space for 5 Guests.
Typically, staterooms that will sleep up to 5 Guests are called Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms. The key is that the word “Family” is in there. Fortunately, the Disney Cruise Line system will only show you
staterooms that will accommodate the number of Guests in your travel party. The other way to check is by c
alling Disney Cruise Line. So if you still aren’t finding a stateroom that can fit your family, a Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning Specialist would be happy to help your Fab 5 with your stateroom reservation.
Except for Concierge staterooms/suites, the Deluxe Family Oceanview staterooms with Verandah are the most spacious staterooms on the ship. This size stateroom worked perfectly when my girlfriends and I cruised together. We had 4 adults in our stateroom, so we passed on using the upper-berth bed that the stateroom host pulls down in the evenings. And traditionally, that is exactly where my kids love to sleep! Meanwhile, the sofa converts to a bed and a trundle bed can be lowered from the wall.
Cruise back to planDisney if you have any additional questions, Brittany. We'd love to have you stop back by and let us know how your plans worked out!
SEA ya real soon!
