Hi there, Lucas! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for coming by to see us with your question.
I'm so sorry your plans aren't working out the way you had hoped. It's such a strange time right now and things can be very unpredictable. You're right that as part of the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, all Guests need to make a
Disney Park Pass reservation before going to the Theme Parks. That helps limit capacity in the Parks for the safety of Guests and Cast Members. Now that Spring Break is in full swing, reservations have been hard to come by for the past few weeks. At this time, Disney hasn't set up wait lists for Disney Park Pass reservations, but you should certainly keep an eye out for something like that in the future. I recommend regularly checking out the
Disney Parks Blog so you can keep up with all the latest news and updates as things continue to change.
Of course, you could still come down for a few days in the Sunshine State and enjoy your hotel and some of the other fun things to do at Walt Disney World! You can
splash in a water park, shop and dine at
Disney Springs, or
hit the links with a round of golf (even if it's just the
miniature variety!). But if you really have your heart set on blasting off to a galaxy far, far away at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, your best bet might be to reschedule your trip if you can. I know it's hard to change plans so close to your arrival date, but as I look at the
Availability Calendar, I see some dates opening up after Easter. There's always the possibility another Guest may cancel and you could grab that reservation, but I'd hate for you to miss out if that doesn't happen. Waiting even a few weeks can make a big difference as the traditional Spring Break and Easter busy period begins to wane. I'd
give Disney's Guest Services a call to see what they recommend.
I know how disappointed you must be, Lucas. I sincerely hope you can visit the citizens on planet Batuu very soon! And please feel free to stop by and see us again if you have any more questions. We're always here with our Mickey ears on!
