Hello, Kaitlin,
Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. As a middle school teacher, my initials thoughts are that it is best to visit during the beginning of a grading period as that would give your child ample time to make up work. Then I'd try to combine those times with the seasons where you are likely to find lower crowds:
-January/February (avoid holiday weekends)
-Mid-July to the first part of September (not Labor Day weekend)
-September (post-Labor Day Weekend)
-Mid-October to before Thanksgiving
Since there are a lot of different summer breaks throughout the United States (our first day is August 14!), I included some summer months. As a teacher, I always appreciate knowing in advance that I will have a student gone. When policy permits, I can even give the child some work beforehand, so that lightens the amount of make-up work s/he must do when s/he comes back.
As you continue planning your
Walt Disney World trip, please let us know how we can help. Wishing you a Delightfully Disney Day! -
Kara
