Hi Kathy!
Thanks for your question.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of our favorite resorts to stay on Disney property! From the South Pacific theme, the excellent food, and that it's one of the "Monorail Resorts," it's always at or near the top of our list of resorts when we make that oh-so-terrific
Disney vacation trip! :-)
So depending on how long our Disney trip is (say 5 or 6 nights), we've gotten into the habit of having a theme park "off night." In other words, we take a day to where we don't visit the theme parks and enjoy other parts of the Disney experience..
Enjoying your resort hotelWhen you get to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, be sure to ask for the weekly itinerary (if they haven't provided one to you already at check-in). You will find the resort hotels themselves have a number of activities going on daily for children of all ages, even for your terrific young ones! Some activities will be complimentary, while others may come at a cost, but generally the at-cost activities are fairly reasonable. Also, if the weather is good, you can always enjoy the pool or beach area, which is really nice at Polynesian Resort.
Take a trip to Disney SpringsWe always try to set time aside to make a trip to
Disney Springs, which to us is an experience unto itself. One area in particular your children will enjoy is the Marketplace Carousel and Marketplace Train Experience on the Marketplace side of
Disney Springs. There's also face painting and other experiences your kids can enjoy at Disney Springs.
Just about everywhere you go on Disney property, there's something for just about everyone! :-)
Here's to hoping for fun and magic on your Disney trip!
Terry
