Hi Patrick, welcome to planDisney!
Three cheers for the red, white, and blue, and three chEARS for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Your arrival is just one sleep away, eek! Tell your little one that Mickey can't wait to see everyone and that Tinkerbell sent some sugary sweet pixie dust to help everyone get a good night's rest tonight.
One of the things I like most about the
Disney Military Salute tickets is that they can be used at any time throughout the validity dates. I, too, like to spread my ticket out across multiple visits. This year's Disney Military Salute tickets expire on December 16, 2022, which gives you plenty of options for scheduling your Disney days.
Valid theme park admission is required for all Guests three and up, which means your 2-year-old won't need a ticket, but your 3-year-old will. Since your child will likely need fewer days on their ticket to align with your post-birthday travel plans, another ticket option for them would be a Magic Your Way Ticket available at base ticket offices and
Shades of Green for a
discount. These tickets can be purchased for one or up to 10 park days. Since you're going to be on Disney property this week, you could even purchase your child's discounted Magic Your Way at one of the ticket windows outside of the theme parks in advance of your late summer/fall trip. These tickets expire 14 days after their first use. Make sure you have your military ID on hand at the time of purchase.
Unlike Disney Military Salute tickets, Magic Your Way Tickets purchased on base do not need to be activated, so you and your 3-year-old can head straight to the parks with a
park pass reservation, assuming the adults' tickets were activated on your February visit. When it works with my family's schedule, we like to activate our Disney Military Salute tickets before our first park day at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.
I hope you have a magical time enjoying
The World's Most Magical Celebration, Patrick. In my experience, toddlers love curb-jumping and people-watching just as much as the attractions. Imagination is the real pixie dust.
Thank you for trusting planDisney with your question and, most importantly, thank you for your family's service.
Choose magic,
