Ahoy, Margarette!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you and your family are getting ready to set sail with Captain Mickey! No matter which Disney Cruise ship you're sailing on, you'll find adventure and fun on every deck!
Your son will be able to enjoy all the fun in
Disney's Oceaneer Club and
Disney's Oceaneer Lab during the Youth Activities Open House hours! With that being said, I do want to mention that he cannot be dropped off without you during these times. When either Disney's Oceaneer Club or Disney's Oceaneer Lab offer Youth Activities Open House hours, your son is welcome to explore both incredible spaces with you and your husband, even if he hasn't mastered potty training yet! Although schedules are aways subject to change, I'm happy to share that there were Open House hours available, listed in the Personal Navigator newsletter, in each of the different Youth Clubs every day of our most recent Disney Cruise.
Margarette, I completely understand the challenge you're facing trying to grab adult time with your husband while sailing with your little guy. My son is also unable to be dropped off to the Youth Clubs, so my husband and I have found creative ways to grab time together while sailing the high seas! When my son is down for a nap in our stateroom, my hubby and I sneak out onto our verandah and spend time together looking out at the ocean and talking (while having a clear view of the little munchkin sleeping inside). Or, we'll snuggle up close while watching a movie on deck on the Funnel Vision while my son is sitting close by. It might take some creativity, but I'm wishing you tons of special moments with your husband! I'm also wishing your son a blast exploring the Youth Clubs with you while onboard!
