Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Stephany!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Can we talk about how sweet it is that you're planning to bring your younger cousins along for a Walt Disney World Resort visit?! In addition to being the best cousin
ever, I'd say that makes you an honorary Fairy Godmother! But to make sure those
Florida Resident tickets don't turn into pumpkins at the stroke of midnight –– er, once you arrive –– let me share a few details about purchasing and using Florida Resident admission before your visit.
Since your cousins won't be able to show their own
proof of Florida residency, their parents (or another Florida resident) will need to verify Florida residency before those tickets can be used. The easiest way to do this is online with a Florida driver's license, state-issued ID card, or Florida-based military ID, but this
must be done on the Walt Disney World website at the time of purchase –– if admission is purchased without verification, this can't be completed later, online. If the tickets have already been purchased or if the Florida resident doesn't have an acceptable form of ID, they can also provide proof of a Florida residential address at any
Walt Disney World Guest Relations location or theme park ticketing window to activate those tickets. Since it sounds like an adult resident won't be coming with you, be sure to let them know that this can be done ahead of time, if necessary. In that case, I recommend using the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs –– parking is typically a little easier, plus it's the perfect excuse to stop by
Gideon's Bakehouse for a dreadfully delicious treat!
I hope this helped to answer your question, Stephany, and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney. I'm wishing you and your cousins a Walt Disney World Resort visit that's filled with pixie dust from beginning to end!
Happy Planning,
Amy
