Hiya Karen,
Welcome to planDisney! I love that you want to take your granddaughter to Walt Disney World Resort. My parents and I are planning a vacation this year that will enable them to take both of my little ones to Disney. They are so excited to see the parks through their grandchildren’s eyes, and I know my littles are going to love spending special time with their Nana and Pop Pop.
According to the Walt Disney World Resort policy, Guests wanting to purchase, activate, or use a Florida resident theme park ticket must be Florida residents with at least one valid
form of Florida residency. Since you are not a Florida resident, you would be unable to purchase a Florida resident ticket for your granddaughter for your vacation, even if she resides in Florida.
I’m sorry this wasn’t the news you hoped for, but I hope it was helpful. Before I let you go, I did want to wish you a magical vacation with your granddaughter. Don’t forget to take lots of pictures so that you both can look back on them and remember the memories you made together. I always recommend getting
Memory Maker for this reason; that way, you can get all your photos for one price rather than paying individually for each one you want. Please come back and see
us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning!
