I have not been to Disneyland since my daughter was 9. We are now going back with her two children who are 16 and 12. Can you give me any suggestions as to planning of days at Disneyland? We are staying at the the Paradise Pier.

Hello, Melanie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am thrilled beyond measure that you are returning to the Disneyland Resort and this time with your grandchildren!

Since you'll be staying at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, you will have Extra Magic Hour every day of your trip. This grants you entry one hour early to Disneyland Park on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and Disney California Adventure Park on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. I suggest taking advantage of this extra time as much as possible because you can really get a lot done in the mornings. Then if you want to take a break in the afternoon, it's super easy because your hotel is only a short walk away.

Also, definitely make use of the FASTPASS Service which is included with your theme park admission. Most of the larger attractions have FASTPASS kiosks where you insert your theme park ticket to receive a FASTPASS ticket that tells you when to return to the attraction and skip most of the queue.

I would also suggest making a dining reservation or two. Sitting down for a meal together is a nice way to relax and regroup after a busy day at the parks. There are many types of cuisine to choose from at the Disneyland Resort and reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance.

I hope you found this information helpful. If you have any more questions, please reach out again as I'd love to help you continue to plan your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
