Hiya, Shelby!
Welcome to planDisney from across the Buckeye State –– thanks so much for dropping in with a question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit. While you're sure to find world-class accommodations and incredible theming at all the Disney Resort hotels, each one of these incredible properties really is in a world of its own. Whether you're looking to explore the African savannah, stroll through a Louisiana bayou, camp under the stars, or even blast off to a galaxy far, far, away, staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel can take you there!
Personally, I can't think of a better way to get a feel for which Disney Resort you'd like to call home than by exploring them for yourself –– that's why I'm happy to tell you that yes, you're welcome to visit any Disney Resorts Collection hotel even if you're not staying on the property. One thing you'll want to keep in mind, however, is that in order to park at one of the Resorts, you'll either need to be a registered Guest or have a confirmed dining reservation at one of the Resort's table service restaurants. To that end, I definitely recommend making a dining reservation, if possible. Not only will this allow you to park at Resort, but it's also a great way to get some first-hand Resort experience (and enjoy a great meal at the same time). However, if sitting down to dine doesn't fit into your plans, don't worry –– you'll still be able to visit the Resort. In that case, I recommend parking at Disney Springs and Disney's
complimentary Resort transportation to reach the Resort.
If you're looking to explore multiple Resorts, also keep in mind that many of these Resorts are connected (either via transportation or walking path), so you can easily move between them to explore. For instance, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are all connected to the monorail, so you can easily jump from one to another. Similarly, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort, & Disney's BoardWalk Inn are all located just a quick walk from each other around Crescent Lake. And if you're
really up for a Resort adventure, after exploring those Resorts, you can even hop on
Disney Skyliner right outside EPCOT's International Gateway entrance to experience everything that Disney's Riviera Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, and Disney's Art of Animation Resort have to offer. Talk about taking Resort-hopping to the next level, right?!
I also got to sit down with my fellow Panelist, Julie P., and our fabulous host Amiyrah Martin for a recent episode of the
planDisney Podcast Presented by State Farm where we talked all-things Disney Resorts. If you're looking for a great resource on everything Disney Resorts have to offer –– from rooms and theming, to dining, to Resort activities, and
so much more –– this is the perfect place to start!
I hope this helped to answer your question, Shelby, and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney. If you think of new questions as you plan your next Walt Disney World Resort visit, be sure to stop back by!
Happy Planning,
Amy
