    I have not been to Disney since magic bands have been created and I am not sure what the process is. When you make your reservation do the magic bands automatically get ordered? Is there an extra charge for them or are they part of the resort/ticket chg?

    Hi Debra,

    If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, there is no charge for your MagicBands. You'll be able to customize them in your My Disney Experience account by adding names and choosing colors. Then, they will be shipped to your home prior to your vacation.

    If you aren't staying on property, you can purchase MagicBands, if you choose to. However, they aren't required. 

    If you haven't already done it, I'd definitely recommend downloading the My Disney Experience app to your mobile device. It's a great way to get information, especially while you are in the parks.
