    We're not on the dining plan for this trip. And we're not doing character meals (our kids are a little timid), which fun restaurants do you suggest?

    Hi there Leslie!

    There are various fun restaurants to try out while at Walt Disney World which do not have characters roaming around, depending on which park you are in!

    Let's start with Magic Kingdom:
    Casey's Corner... Who doesn't love hot dogs? And the parade view is fantastic from the outdoor seating area.
    Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe... Counter Service with "live" entertainment from who else but Ray?
    Liberty Tree Tavern... It's a family style sit down restaurant.
    Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe - It's an old western Counter Service joint!
    Pinocchio's Village Haus - Counter Service in the middle of Fantasyland beside It's A Small World. There are some seats overlooking the attraction.

    Disney's Animal Kingdom:
    Flame Tree Barbecue - Counter Service with good food and outdoor eating. 
    Tusker House - Dinner Buffet!

    Disney's Hollywood Studios
    50's Prime Time Cafe - I don't want to spoil the fun but eat all your vegetables Moms and Dads!
    Sci-Fi Dine In Diner - It's a drive in, inside of a building! Can you say a family friendly Pulp Fiction?

    Epcot:
    The Coral Reef - Inside The Seas with Nemo and friends featuring windows into the aquarium.
    Sunshine Seasons - Counter Service food court inside The Land pavillion perfect after Soarin'
    Biergarten - Who doesn't love Oktoberfest?
    Teppan Edo - Ok, since I've been a Hibachi Chef for many years, I have to recommend this uniquely fun restaurant experience.
