We are not on a dining plan and made reservations at 5:00 at California Grill. Would they get upset if we only order appetizers and maybe a dessert?

    Hello, Jon!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! California Grill is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort restaurant, and the floor-to-ceiling windows create a beautiful venue high atop Disney's Contemporary Resort. You are absolutely welcome to order appetizers and desserts. In fact, my husband and I often do just that. We have found that sharing the Chef's Selection Cheese Board and a few signature sushi rolls can be very filling. However, we always leave room for dessert. Since we both have a sweet tooth, we each order a dessert since I tend not to share the seasonal Crème Brûlée!  Keep in mind that you can return to California Grill later in the evening to view Wishes! Nighttime Spectacular from the observation deck or the lounge area. Simply present your receipt to Cast Members at the 2nd-floor check-in desk to gain reentry.

I hope you enjoy the appetizers and desserts at California Grill as much as we do. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance as you continue to plan your visit!

    Have a magical day!
