Hello! We are not on Dining Plan as I felt we could dine cheaper. My son will be 11 when we travel and is small for his age and an extremely picky eater. Will he be able to order off of kids menu and us not have to pay adult pricing? Thanks!

    Hi Sheli,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

Although kids meals at Walt Disney World Resort restaurants are typically only for children aged 3-9, I’ve travelled with other families who’ve been able to order their child a meal from the kids menu, even though they were older than 9. If you explain your son’s eating habits to your server or to the Cast Member who will be taking your order at a quick service restaurant, they’ll probably allow him to order a child’s meal.

That being said, if you choose to dine at a buffet or family style restaurant, your son will be charged as an adult, regardless of how much or what he chooses to eat.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
