Not a big fan of buffets so I'm considering changing my res from Hollywood/Vine to Hollywood Brown Derby for fantasmic dining package on 4/27/13. What are your thoughts.

Hello Laura.  Welcome back to the Moms Panel and thanks for your question.  I'm with you - I'm not usually a fan of buffet's but generally speaking, the buffet's at Walt Disney World do tend to be better than your average.  However, for me personally, there is no comparison to a meal at The Hollywood Brown Derby over a meal at Hollywood & Vine.  I would choose The Hollywood Brown Derby every time.  That being said, since you have kids, they may be a deciding factor in this.  The meal at The Hollywood Brown Derby will definitely take a longer amount of time since it is Table Service.  Also, you should check the menus for both restaurants to see if the items offered appeal to your children - nothing can ruin a meal quicker that kids turning their noses up at the food!  If you click the links I've provided, you can view each of the current menus for both restaurants.

At this point in time, you may have no choice but to keep your Hollywood & Vine reservation, as The Hollywood Brown Derby is very popular, and there may be no Fantasmic dining packages available on such short notice. Good luck with your decision, and have a very magical day Laura!
