Hi there, Jacqueline! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you're planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! An August trip is exciting, as you'll be there to experience the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! This is my favorite festival at the Walt Disney World Resort. I mean.. who can resist a full day of eating and drinking yummy things?! I prefer to set aside an entire day to experience the festival, so I don't miss a thing! However, many Guests love park-hopping over to
EPCOT at night to have a little fun when the sun goes down!
Jacqueline, if you're interested in booking a
Disney Resort Hotel reservation, you are unable to do so using the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. However, you can use the app to locate the resort hotel of your choice, then call to book. Simply use the magnifying glass on the menu bar to search for the accommodation you'd like to book. Click the name of the resort hotel, then click "Call to Book." This will connect you directly with a Cast Member at
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations.
If you'd like to book the room yourself, you're better off using the
Walt Disney World Resort Website. Click the
"Places to Stay" tab, then input the dates of your trip and the number of Guests who will travel with you. Tap "Find Resorts" and you'll be given a full list of Disney Resort Hotels that are available for you to reserve, as well as the starting price to reserve them. If nothing seems to work for your family, you can also check out the
Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels.
Now, if I've totally misunderstood your question and you're actually looking to make
advance dining reservations using the My Disney Experience App, that is totally possible! Start by tapping the plus sign on the bottom menu bar. Then select "Check Dining Availability." Input your party size and choose a date you'd like to dine. You'll then be able to select a meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) or a specific time you'd prefer to eat. All available restaurants will appear below the "Search by Time" section. Scroll through and find the restaurant most likely to satisfy that "rumbly in your tumbly!" Advance dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance of your arrival date if staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, or up to 60 days before your dining date if staying off-property.
I hope this helps make all your reservation dreams come true!
Happy planning,
Ashley
