what can we take and what can we not take

Hey there, hi there, Izzy! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you've stopped by with your question.

You're basically on your way to Disneyland Resort and I hope you are so excited! If you are asking what you can take into the parks and what you can not take in the parks, I suggest taking a moment to look over the Disneyland Resort Rules. This will list the prohibited items that are not allowed in the parks. One of the many reasons I love Disneyland Resort is that you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks into the parks, which is great for families on a budget and with little ones who are picky eaters. Before you enter the resort, you will need to enter through security where your bags and strollers will be checked and you will go through a metal detector to ensure you are not bringing in any prohibited items.

As you do your final packing, I definitely do recommend packing snacks if you have littles. This really helps beat the wait while you are in line for the next attraction. The Disneyland app is going is such a great companion to your park day, but using your phone a lot between using the app and taking photos can drain your battery fast. I always make sure to have a portable charger and cord to make sure my phone is good for the whole day. Oh, and don't forget the sunscreen and a hat now that summer finally showed up.

Izzy, I hope this helps you get ready for a magical visit to Disneyland Resort. See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
