When do they normally come out with the FL resident special for tickets? The ones you can use January - June with some block out dates. I'm looking for when they will come out because we are going in January 2016.

Hi Jennifer, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always love to chat with my fellow Floridians.

We Sunshine-Staters look forward to the Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets almost as much as we look forward to a break from the summer heat! The tickets are usually available starting in January, and offer 3 or 4 days of fun for the best price we'll see all year.

As yet, there's been no announcement as to whether or not we'll see the Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets offered again next year. Unfortunately, we'll likely have a bit of a wait before any announcement does come. I did a quick search and saw that most news reports on this year's Discover Disney tickets were dated after January 1. I know when we've bought these tickets in the past, I've had to keep an eye out for the news to come out at the end of December or beginning of January.

I wish I had better news for you, Jennifer! It's hard to plan in advance when you don't know when your tickets will be available. Just keep scouring the Disney blogs and local news sites, and fingers crossed that the announcement will come early this year!

Thanks again for stopping by to see us today. I hope you'll visit again soon.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
