I normally use a large wheelchair, which limits my ability to go on the trip from the cruise ship. My next cruise is the "7-Night Norwegian Fjords Cruise from Southampton." What are the wheelchair limits for the trip?

    Ahoy, Roger!

Thank you for reaching out to planDisney. I'm excited to hear you'll be embarking on a Norwegian Fjords cruise out of Southampton with Disney Cruise Line. Last year, I sailed this amazing itinerary and enjoyed everything from the delicious food and characters in European attire to the picturesque ports of call.

Roger, the public spaces on your Disney Cruise ship will be wheelchair-accessible, so you should be able to navigate easily. Accessible staterooms include wider doors (32 inches), a roll-in shower, and a pull-down closet rod. These are just a few of the stateroom modifications you'll find to make your 7 nights comfortable. The Disney Cruise Line Special Services Team is a great resource before you depart, as they can help you with special requests and answer any questions you may have about your time aboard. Their email is specialservices@contact.disneycruiseline.com. You can also call 0800 171 2317 to speak with an agent who can connect you to the team. Hours are Eastern Time: Monday-Friday 4:00 am to 10:00 pm, Saturday 4:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Sunday  6:00 am to 8:00 pm.

If you plan to venture ashore, Disney Cruise Line offers Accessible Port Adventures. When you browse your options, be sure to pay close attention to the "Know Before You Go" section, as each excursion has different requirements. I recommend filtering through this European list to see what will work best for you.

Roger, I hope connecting with the Special Services Team will help put your mind at ease about your vacation with Captain Mickey. If you have any accessibility questions or concerns once you board the ship, please let the team at Guest Services know.

    Have a magical day,
    Nancy
