What is the normal time for check in? We are planning on staying at the Cabins at the wilderness. Is there any way to get in earlier?

    Hey Brianne!

I just stayed at the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground in September and had a blast!  Fort Wilderness truly feels like it's own world.  You almost forget the hustle and bustle of Magic Kingdom Park is only a short ferry boat ride away.

The official check-in time for Walt Disney World Resorts is 3pm.  However, guests can check-in at their resort as soon as they arrive.  The Cast Member at Registration will give you your Key to the World Card (which also serves as your park tickets and gives you access to your dining plan, if applicable).  If a cabin is ready, you'll be able to head on over and get settled in.  However, if no cabins are available at that time, the folks at Fort Wilderness will store your luggage for you so you can go explore the resort or Walt Disney World.  You can request to have your room number texted to your cell phone when it is ready.  Either way, you'll be set to enjoy your vacation as soon as you arrive.

Thank you so much for coming to see us today, Brianne!  I hope you'll come back and see us again with any other questions you may have about staying at "The Fort", or any part of planning your fabulous vacation.
