What is the normal gratuity for the housekeeping at the Tree House Resort.

    Hi Kevin,

The Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are so peaceful.  What a great place to spend a vacation!

Tipping for housekeeping at this resort, as with all Walt Disney World resorts, is at the discretion of the guest.  You are not required to leave a tip for housekeeping, but it is of course lovely if you would like to do so.  The amount is also completely at your discretion.  It seems that a typical range for those leaving a tip for housekeeping at a Walt Disney World resort is between $1 and $3 per person per night.  For instance, a family of four might leave between $4 and $12 per day.

The suggested tips I mentioned above are based on daily housekeeping.  If you are staying as a Disney Vacation Club Member using your Disney Vacation Club points or a Member-discounted rate, you will not receive daily housekeeping.  For stays of less than eight nights, you will receive trash and towel service on day four.  Trash and towel service is a "freshening up" of the room, but not a full cleaning.  If you are staying for more than eight nights, you will receive full housekeeping on day four and trash and towel service on day eight, with that cycle repeating beginning on day 12.  You would want to tip based on this schedule.  Also, it is nice to tip when you are anticipating the housekeeper coming - so daily if you paid for your trip using a traditional method such as a credit card, or on the days of scheduled service if you are staying with Disney Vacation Club.  This is because you will not know if the same housekeeper will be with you for the whole vacation.  Also, be sure to leave any tip in an envelope clearly marked for housekeeping.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Kevin! Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
