Coronado Springs Resort Pool

Is there a normal full size swimming pool in WDW? My son is in training and will need to do several hundred laps whilst we are away.

Hello, Ann! It sounds like your son is abiding by Dory's advice to "just keep swimming!" Although most of the pools at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels are meant for relaxation and leisure, I do have a couple of suggestions for you.

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort's main feature pool, affectionately known as "The Dig Site," is a favorite amongst guests. However, they also have three additional quiet pools, and the one located in the Casitas area is perfect for swimming laps. If staying here, I would recommend requesting a room in this section. The lap pool hours are 8:00 AM-10:00 PM, and unlike the main pool, towels are not provided, so guests should bring their own from their room. All pools at Walt Disney World Resort are heated to 82F/28C throughout the year.

If you prefer to stay in the Epcot area, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels would be another great option. While these hotels are not official Walt Disney World properties, they offer many of the same benefits, such as the ability to reserve attractions through FastPass+ up to 60 days in advance and Extra Magic Hours. These sister hotels share five heated pools between them, two of the being lap pools. Towels are provided here, and the hours are 9:00 AM- 11:30 PM.

I hope your holiday goes swimmingly well, Ann! Please feel free to stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again if there's anything else we can help you with.

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
