If a non-US resident is asked to provide ID to purchase alcohol at Disney, are they required to show their actual passport + government issued photo ID, or will a photocopy/picture of their passport + government issued photo ID be sufficient?

    Hiya, Charla!

Welcome back to planDisney. We're so excited you've returned with another excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! Oh boy... you'll be making your way to The Most Magical Place on Earth very soon. I bet you're so anxious to dive into the magic at the Walt Disney World Resort, so let's chat about the identification requirements you'll need during your visit!

Charla, I understand you're hoping to indulge in some adult beverages during your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Get ready to "cheers" to unforgettable moments and special memories! Guests wishing to purchase alcohol at the Walt Disney World Resort who have traveled from outside the U.S. are required to present a valid passport (certifying they are age 21 or over) and another form of government-issued photo identification from their country of origin, Charla. Since this is outlined on the Walt Disney World Resort website, I encourage you to bring your actual passport instead of a photocopy, just to be safe. I wouldn't want you to miss out on any of the delightful drinks available on property!

Speaking of awesome adult beverages at The Most Magical Place on Earth, I'd love to share a few of my personal favorites with you:
    • The Leaping Lizard at Nomad Lounge is delightfully refreshing and the lounge is a lovely setting for a relaxing afternoon retreat at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park!
    • At Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you'll find the Spikey Pineapple - a frosty, fun, frozen beverage with a tropical twist! For a non-alcoholic treat, try the Skipper Sipper.
    • If you'll be spending some time at EPCOT, be sure to pop into Les Vins de France - a wonderful little champagne bar tucked away in the France pavilion! I think it's one of the theme park's best-kept "secrets."
    • The Reggie's Revenge at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar at Disney Springs is super sweet and fruity, and the al fresco bar provides Guests with a stunning waterfront view!
Charla, I hope you've found this information helpful. I'm wishing you a vacation filled with magical moments and memories! If you have any additional questions before or during your visit, you can always return to us here at planDisney. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
