Ahoy Christine!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Your 5-Night Bahamian Cruise has not one but TWO Stops at
Castaway Cay! This is my favorite island paradise, so I’m happy to hEAR you’ll be soaking up the sun on Disney’s private island.
Disney Cruise Line has some of the absolute best staterooms in the industry. Hello, can we say split bathrooms are a genius idea? A lifesaver for families! While on the subject of bathrooms, the answer to your question is that it depends. Some stateroom categories on the
Disney Fantasy have a grab bar in the shower while others do not. You could search online to see if prior Guests have shared information or photos about grab bars in a particular stateroom bathroom. It’s really challenging for Disney Cruise Line to keep up with that level of details about specific stateroom bathrooms for each ship, but perhaps you could check with them and see what answer you get.
If having grab bars in the bathrooms is necessary to you, then I recommend that you reserve an
accessible stateroom. In wheelchair accessible staterooms, they feature bathroom and shower grab bars; minimum 32” doorways; open bed frames; roll-in showers; emergency call alarms; fold-down shower seats; ramped bathroom thresholds; and hand-held shower heads.
Cruise back to planDisney again as you chart a course for your adventure at sea. Here’s hoping you find the right stateroom with all the features you desire. Christine, have a FANTASTic sailing!!
