Welcome, Jessica, to planDisney! I'm so happy you brought your question to us.
It's so much fun to meet up with friends and family at the resort. Ever since I joined
the planDisney family, I feel like there is always someone I know at the
Walt Disney World Resort, and it's so nice to run into them or plan time to hang out during a trip. On one of my recent visits, it turned out a good friend was there too, and it was a blast just spending the afternoon together! It truly makes a great visit even better.
When first using
Florida Resident tickets, all Guests 18 and over must provide
proof of residency, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who has. While Disney reserves the right to check residency at any time, typically, once tickets have been validated for that visit, they do not need to be validated again. For example, if they have a 3-day ticket and it was either validated at the time of purchase or validated with their family on day 1, it usually does not need to be validated again. So, unless they are visiting the parks with a brand-new ticket that has not yet been validated, there usually is not a problem, though final verification is always at the discretion of a Cast Member.
If you have not already done so, make sure you and your friends are connected through the
My Family & Friends list and that you have toggled on the option to see and modify each other’s plans next to each name. This way, if you plan to purchase
Lightning Lane Passes, you will be able to select one another when making reservations. And in general, when it comes to coordinating plans, it's much easier when you're all connected!
Jessica, have so much fun at the resort! If you have any other questions,
I’m here to help!
Here’s to any day spent with friends becoming our favorite day,
Matt
