can a non-disney DVC family member visit a disney hotel?

    Greetings, Michele!

Welcome to planDisney! Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotels are a magnificent place to call your home away from home. They have incredible amenities, recreational offerings, and are sprinkled with an immersive Disney experience. I am happy to report that if you are hoping to visit family or friends that are Guests of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, including the Disney Vacation Club options, you can! Registered Guests can have day Guests during their stay. The registered resort Guest will need to stop by the front desk to let Cast Members know about your upcoming arrival. It is also important to note that you will need to show a photo ID at the front gate before entering.

If you wish to visit a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and you will not be a Guest of a family member or friend, you will need a dining or experience reservation. Be sure to have your confirmation number handy when you arrive at the front gate.

One of my favorite recreational offerings that are featured at Walt Disney World Resort hotels is Movies Under the Stars. This is a great way to end a day at the resorts. The resort hotel will have a Recreation Activities guide available when you arrive. This will list the movies being featured that week as well as unique and fun ways to enjoy the time at the resort.

I hope your visit is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
