I have non-date based tickets, and therefore park reservations for 4th of July week. If a park closes for capacity and I leave for a mid-day break, will my park reservation be enough to get back in, or will I be turned away?

Hey Howdy Hey Alyssa and welcome to planDisney!

The 4th of July is an amazing time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. This is usually a time we all celebrate with local fireworks shows but no one does a nighttime fireworks show like Disney. I would make sure to keep an eye on the schedule and make sure you check out the celebration in Magic Kingdom during your stay. Before I get too carried away with all there is to look forward to during your trip, let's talk about Theme Park Reservations

You have things right so far Alyssa, those with non-date-based theme park tickets need Theme Park Reservations to get into the parks. Since you already have yours booked, you are one step ahead of the game!

Considering you have a reservation telling Disney you will be in the parks on that particular day if the park does close due to capacity limitations, you should still be able to get into the parks. This also applies to you leaving for a mid-day break and returning. Before you leave for your break, I would make sure to double-check with a Cast Member before leaving and returning, but you should be able to without an issue.

I wanted to share another recent announcement from Disney that has everyone super excited over happening in Magic Kingdom. Disney has recently announced that Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be opening this summer. I hope things continue to move forward with the reimagining of this attraction and you may be one of the first few Guests with the opportunity to experience this attraction!

I hope you are enjoying planning all the excitement that awaits you for your upcoming trip as there will be much to celebrate! Please feel free to reach back out if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
