Lazy River at Typhoon Lagoon

We have nondate based tickets and therefore had to make park reservations. Our multi-day ticket purchase comes with an extra that we could use for one of the water parks or mini golf, etc. Do we need to reserve those or can we just show up if/when we want?

    Hi again, Deborah!

I'm so glad you stopped back by planDisney! We previously mastered Disney Genie+ service and Disney's BoardWalk Inn, so now let's tackle all of the extra bits of magic Walt Disney World Resort has to offer! It sounds like you purchased a Theme Park Ticket with the Park Hopper Plus option, so you'll have the opportunity to choose from a variety of experiences including Walt Disney World's water parks, miniature golf courses, and Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.

Since you're visiting during Florida's sunny summer months, I highly recommend catching a wave at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park - no reservation required! My pal Jenna recently stopped by, and her rave reviews have added it to my list of magical must-dos. In fact, I just told my husband that if he can't find me during our Spring Break-ation, check the tubes floating down Castaway Creek first.

If your family enjoys a bit of friendly (or not-so-friendly) competition, I suggest enjoying a round at Disney’s Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Courses. Just make sure you arrive before 4 PM, and you're good to go. In our house, the early tee time means the winner gets to choose the evening's dessert! If it's me (which, let's be honest, it rarely is), I'm choosing a milkshake from Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. Even if you're not celebrating a big (mini) victory, I think you'll find its menu merits a visit, and its Disney's Beach Club Resort location means you can walk right over from BoardWalk Inn.

So much (necessary) planning goes into our magical vacations, Deborah, but I want to encourage you to be sure to save space for those unplanned moments of magic. I once wound up participating in (and winning) an acorn scavenger hunt with Chip all because my husband needed to use the restroom before we boarded Big Thunder Mountain. Since that memorable moment, my husband and I plan our vacations around certain must-dos while also leaving ample room in our schedule for whatever pixie dust floats our way.

Thanks for trusting us at planDisney, Deborah. I hope I see ya real soon!
