Can non WDW resort guests buy rapid refill mugs to use on their visit to the park to cut down on waste? Our family of 5 will be visiting Orlando for 3 weeks but we are not staying in a Disney resort, is there a way for us to purchase refill mugs ?

    Hi Claire!

Thanks for your question. A 3 week vacation sounds fantastic, and there's so much to do in Orlando, FL. Hopefully your family will be able to spend bundles of that time at Disney World, the "Happiest Place on Earth!" :-)

The refillable drink mugs is a great program, and for those who are big liquid consumers (such as myself), it is hugely convenient. Unfortunately, the refillable mugs are only offered to those staying at one of the Disney World Resort Hotels. It comes complimentary for any who has added the Disney Dining Plan to their reservation, and at purchase for those who did not, but still would like to use them. But you have to be staying on property to do this.

Now you are allowed to bring your own comparable sized mugs into the theme parks, but they can't be used at any of the restaurant drink stations nor can be refilled.

I hope you and your family have a magical time in Orlando. And be sure to add some Disney World time to your vacation! :-)
