Hi there, Reece, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad to hear that you'll be making your way to Florida from across the pond this fall, and I will be happy to share some tips for a visit to
Disney's Vero Beach Resort. Grab your flip-flops, and let's dive right in!
Vero is a delightful spot, and it's super convenient to visit both
Walt Disney World Resort and Vero in the same trip. The resort is just under two hours away from Orlando, and it's a perfect way to relax after the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. Guests are welcome to visit to enjoy a meal and check out the resort and the shops. Wind and Waves Grill is open for breakfast and dinner, and the food always hits the spot! There's also a Character breakfast offered on Saturday mornings - I definitely recommend making reservations if you hope to enjoy that.
While the pool is limited to Guests with a resort reservation, the beach is public access, so you can also venture out and enjoy the sunshine and some time with your toes in the sand. You can rent chairs and beach umbrellas near the access point. The Treasure Coast is home to several endangered species of sea turtles, and you may also have the opportunity to observe the Disney Conservation team on duty to protect them during the summer nesting season.
Reece, Vero also has a fantastic spa! They offer massages, facials, wraps, and nail services, as well as some select services just for tweens aged 6-12. You can really make a day of your time at the resort between a meal, a little "me time", and some quality time on the beach!
I hope you have a simply magical visit to Florida - it will be here before you know it. If our planDisney crew can help with any other questions as you're getting your (Donald) ducks in a row, please come back and see us again. We're always happy to help!
SEA Ya Real Soon!
